is this a bug?
if I change any checkbox setting in the setting page, then I go directly to fish page and click preview, the program didn't launch the scene with my desired setting, and when I come back to the setting panel, my original setting is gone!!!

I have to change the setting, then press OK at bottom of right corner, then launch again the click preview, otherwise, the setting won't save.

It's not a bug per se, it's a problem with UI introduced by the change we just made to the way the program is run. Previously, it was intended that you go to the config panel, change settings, press OK, then run as a separate invocation of the program. The Cancel button would prevent the writing of any settings you made. That was the intended behavior when we wrote the program - but we've changed the UI somewhat in the last few days.

The "Preview" button was only intended originally to preview fish configurations, not to reflect any and all settings changes made, which would all be rolled back if you pressed Cancel after Previewing.

So basically, now that the desktop icon brings you directly to the config panel, and not to running the Pond itself, the old UI design doesn't make as much sense anymore - changes probably ought to be immediate, and we probably ought to just rid ourselves of the Cancel button. This would make the writing and reading of settings cleaner and eliminate any confusion about whether settings are or are not permanent.

Again, you'll see this fixed in the next day or two, and I agree that it should have made its way into rc8 to reflect the other UI changes we made at the same time.
