The System ID may change (but won't necessarily) when you make major system configuration changes (reinstalling the operating system, changing motherboards, etc.). However, if you purchased ScreenGardens Living Pond, you are able to automatically obtain up to 3 registration codes from one purchase, in anticipation that such changes may occur. If you have bought the Pond, you can return to our site at any time, log in, and obtain another code - it takes perhaps 30 seconds to do so.
If somebody really needed more than 3 (their system configuration changed another time, they installed on both a laptop and a desktop and then changed their system configuration more than once), we can always make exceptions and issue more registration codes on a case by case basis. We trust our customers and supporters, we're just trying to prevent people from rampantly sharing registration codes for our artwork and software that we've put thousands of hours of work into.

raefer, thank you for the answer. My question is really that. 3 codes is good, however, two installations and a damage hd is enough to use the three codes without trying to do anything less legal.

I tried to use my last reg. code to reinstall the screen on my lap top aa system recovery. Our first installation was successful on a pc with multiple user log in. Apparently code # 2 was inadvertantly assigned to another user on that machine.
Code#3 was used on the lap top but was lost during the recovery. No problem since we had 1 life left! However, after getting the sys, id and reg. code, the registgration screen would not accept the code!
Is there anything we can do?

Indeed, assuming you are "John Boylan", I just looked up your account, and see the problem - looks like you entered the system ID without the dash or hyphen characters. I just gave you a couple of extra registration codes so you won't have to worry about it again. Just make sure you copy the system ID with all the characters when obtaining your registration code, and it should work fine! Sorry about that!
