It's definitely still a while in the future. There are improvements and work we want to finish on the AI and animations first. Then we have to port all our graphics code to OpenGL from Direct3D (which is Windows only Crying or Very sad ). Once we have a working OpenGL framework, rebuilding things for OS X should be pretty easy, but the port to OpenGL is likely to be time consuming. If I put a date out here, I'll just get myself in trouble right now.

There are a couple of other options that might be easier than an OpenGL rewrite:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/dxglwrap

I actually discovered Coderus a couple of days ago though I haven't had a chance to seriously check out their product yet (in other words, sign up for the developer's license agreement to get copies of their documentation). However, I agree, it's a great idea.

DXGLWrap sounds great, too! Definitely worth seriously checking out, I will give it a whirl and see how well it works (though I'm betting all these will have trouble with some of our 3D water effects work, they will still make the process much easier).

WooHoo! I'm glad you are thinking about doing a Mac version. In the mean time because we can't have the real thing how about posting a few shots to use as desktops pictures?

I really hope that you'll make a version for Mac OS X

I can't get this to work on my Dell Laptop and I won't
get involved with a PC again..... but I'm soo compelled
to get this, the screenshots are beautiful, way better than
the marine aquarium screen saver that I use sometimes on
the Dell.

There's only a few things that I'll pay for, but this
here program looks like it's worth supporting the
artist/creators.

If you make it for mac, I'll buy it.
